The Sounds of Spring Festival, held at the RNA Showgrounds has an impressive lineup this year with bands such as Cog, The Herd, Dukes of Windsor, Muph & Plutonic and many more! Grab some friends and spend the day relaxing with some excellent music, company.

Theatre:

Oscar Wilde is one of the most notable writers who has ever lived.  His wit and carefully crafted storylines can bring you to tears in their hilarity and their tenderness.  Experience him for yourself and go see The Importance of Being Ernest when it’s in town.  This delightfully crazy comedy follows the journey of two couples who fall in love with brothers who both pretend to be someone they’re not, and promises to be a good time for anyone who attends.

Italian Film Festival

Palace Centro Cinemas will be hosting this years Italian Film Festival presented by the ever wonderful Lavazza.  Contemporary Italian films will be shown on the silver screen with such gems as Paolo Virzi’s Her Whole Life Ahead.  12 Italian Classics will also be aired, capturing the essence of Italian cinema for the last four decades.  Don’t miss this opportunity to bring something a bit more exotic to your evenings and weekends.

Art:

A City Seen: Works from the City of Brisbane Collection

In 1859 something great happened in Brisbane, the then City Council began collecting work from numerous well known Australian artists which showcased Brisbane as the star.  From landscapes of Brisbane’s pastoral past to the hustle and bustle of today’s busy river-city, Brisbane has been captured in a range of media including film, painting, photography and printmaking.   Now you can see the collection for yourself!
